At the same time, the need for energy in our country, which has experienced a rapid economic development, is constantly increasing accordingly. With the incentives for renewable energy products provided by the state, this sector is expected to become the most dynamically growing sector in the country in the future.

In addition to having a developed industrial infrastructure, easy access to foreign markets thanks to its port, many universities and R&D centers, a wide range of transportation and logistics capabilities and qualified manpower, İzmir is also located in a region rich in many renewable energy resources.

Wind energy is particularly important for the region. Under the leadership of Izmir Development Agency, "Ensuring Sustainable and Efficient Transformation in the Energy Sector" Project was designed in order to further the studies on wind and solar energy in Izmir. With the project, it is aimed to increase renewable energy investments in İzmir, to encourage renewable energy technologies, production and consumption, to increase the number of R&D, innovation and university-industry cooperation in this field, and to develop human resources in this sector.

Establishing a cluster in the region for companies working in the renewable energy sector is one of the most important outputs of this project. In cooperation with the target groups, there are activities to analyze the situation and needs of the "renewable energy service and equipment cluster to be established and then to prepare a development strategy, to provide consultancy and training services and to support this cluster in promotion, promotion and international cooperation. In addition to providing training, consultancy and guidance services within the scope of supporting competitiveness and sales and marketing activities, establishment of new initiatives will also be supported.

With the project, which aims to increase the sales and export figures of SMEs in the field and to bring 10 new businesses to the sector with employment of at least 30 people, İzmir is not only a city that attracts investments, but also Turkish engineers who were able to train their own investors and started to establish their own ventures with their technical expertise. turning into a city.
