  • Eskisehir Design and Innovation Centre (EDIC)

The priorities of the major industrial city of Eskisehir, our country's railway systems to produce high-tech city and bring Turkey's rail system and the leader of the aviation industry there. In the city, emphasis is placed on strengthening the automotive industry and producing high value-added products in the white goods and machinery industry. Eskişehir currently has an important share in these five sectors as the main and sub-industry.

On the other hand, there is a lack of value added production in these sectors due to the inadequacy of design, prototyping and R&D activities. Lack of qualified personnel, time and resource constraints keep SMEs away from R&D activities and make companies dependent on external resources for these issues. Therefore, SMEs operating in the specified sectors tend to focus on production instead of focusing on R&D and design units.

Eskişehir Technology Development Zone Managing Company ATAP A.Ş. "Eskişehir Design and Innovation Center (ETİM)" Project was developed by.

In project scope; It is aimed to establish a design center to serve the priority sectors of the region, to provide companies with R&D, design and prototype production opportunities and to carry out training activities.

With the human resources to be employed and the technical opportunities to be offered, a center that will directly affect the innovation, design and production processes will come to life.

Computer software and licenses to be procured within the scope of the project, machinery and equipment such as 3D printers and CNC manufacturing machines, and the technological infrastructure available in very few companies in Eskişehir will be offered to the use of SMEs and entrepreneurs in the relevant sectors.

With the establishment of the center, SMEs, university-based and Technopark entrepreneurs will be provided with design support, advanced engineering solutions, prototyping, design and training services, national and international patent applications will be made. Throughout the project, approximately 30 SMEs will be trained and 3 new innovative businesses will be established. Industrial companies, universities and entrepreneurs will be able to meet ETİM on a new platform and have new cooperation opportunities. The center, where qualified specialist personnel will be employed, is expected to make significant contributions to increase the export capacity and competitiveness of the region's industry.
