Sinop is a city where migration takes place due to the limited employment opportunities. On the other hand, fishery and tourism are both two sectors with great potential for the development of the region.
Through this project, planned to be implemented in the second phase of the Programme, it is aimed to increase the competitiveness of SMEs in Sinop and the nearby provinces operating in fishery and tourism sectors. Hence improvement of market and production conditions and the increase of capacity through the connection with current markets are both targeted.
Within this scope, a processing and storage facility will be established for seafood. Thanks to this facility, diversification and commercialization of seafood products will be increased.
The project will transform the region to an attraction point on seafood by adding economic value on the added seafood products and by increasing the awareness of sector stakeholders.
Within the framework of this project, tourism promotion strategy will also be prepared for the revitalisation of tourism sector, which is the other economic value of the region. In addition a SME support centre will be established. All SMEs, which operate in fishery and tourism will be able to benefit from this centre where business support services will be provided. Training and consultancy services will be delivered in order to improve the services provided by the enterprises.
