Aluminum Test, Education and Research Center (ALUTEAM), whose first steps were taken in 2009, providing a common test infrastructure and qualified human resources to its members in addition to education and research supports, meets the sectoral needs of SMEs in an integrated manner with the European Union production ecosystem. However addressing the problems of mutual universities and industry for the digital transformation of the aluminum industry in Turkey and aluteam needed to be developed.
Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University is establishing the "Joint Research Center for Digital Transformation of the Aluminum Industry" in order to strengthen the high quality production capacities of SMEs operating in Istanbul and its surroundings, aluminum and complementary sectors, by increasing the functionality of ALUTEAM.
12 new equipment for qualified tests to increase the functionality of ALUTEAM; 2 additive manufacturing systems will be provided for rapid prototyping and product development services. In addition, an infrastructure will be created for the design and analysis needs of SMEs. In order to increase the competitiveness of entrepreneurs in the aluminum sector, SMEs that can produce quality products will be strengthened; Support will be given to the development of 20 high value-added products at low cost.
Initiation of 3 research partnerships that develop innovative products within the scope of ALUTEAM; Prototyping of 16 innovative products; It is aimed to apply for 8 national and 2 international patents. Creating 6 innovative businesses as a result of support services; 10 research jobs created; 3 products are expected to be successfully commercialized.
