Duties of the Operating Structure
The Competitive Sectors Programme is prepared and implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Technology. The Directorate of European Union Financial Programmes under the General Directorate of European Union and Foreign Relations is responsible for the implementation of the programme as the “Operating Structure”.
Operating Structures are responsible for the management and implementation of IPA programmes in accordance with the financial management principle. They have the authority to hold tenders, enter into contracts and make payments and are responsible for reporting. In this context, the Directorate fulfils the following duties and responsibilities:
The Operating Structure also works to ensure that projects are carried out in accordance with the visibility rules of the European Union and the Competitive Sectors Programme.
