Turkey's first supply chain finance project is being implemented with a budget of 187 Million Euros!
Within the scope of the Competitive Sectors Program, the "Deepening Supply Chains, Sustainability and Integration into European Value Chains in Turkey" project, which will implement the supply chain finance model for the first time in our country, started with the signing ceremony on October 12, 2023.
The budget of the project reaches 187 Million Euros, with 170 Million Euros to be brought by EBRD and partner banks, on top of the 17.3 Million Euros grant from the IPA source.
Thanks to the project, a mechanism will be established to respond appropriately and quickly to the needs of supplier SMEs in conditions where their access to working capital is limited, and by ensuring the adoption of ESG criteria, green and digital transformation will be supported with a result-oriented incentive mechanism. Special attention will be given to SMEs in earthquake zones and they will be enabled to benefit from the mechanism at higher amounts.
The project will also enable both intermediary financial institutions and our Ministry to improve their capacity regarding working capital financing. The project is also expected to lead the EBRD to provide more resources to this area.
