The opening event of the “Enhancing Coordination and Promotion of the COSME Programme and Capacity Building for SME Support Infrastructure (COSME Turkey)” Project which is implemented under the Competitive Sectors Programme was held on December, 3rd in Ankara.
Eleftheria Pertzinido, Deputy Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey; Cevahir Uzkurt, Head of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB), Bülent Özcan, Acting Director General for Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation from the Directorate for EU Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ahmet Alperen Sağkaya, the Head of EU Financial Programmes Directorate of the Ministry of the Industry and Technology participated to the event.
After the opening speeches, the event continued with presentations on COSME Programme and the project. Later on, a session on COSME experiences and success stories was held.
COSME Turkey Project
The COSME Turkey Project aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of intermediary organisations and SMEs regarding the COSME Programme and to enhance the coordination capacity within the country for more effective participation to the Programme.
Besides strengthening the capacity of SMEs, the project also aims to enhance the capacity of KOSGEB that has been assigned for national coordination of the COSME Programme.
