Within the scope of the Competitive Sectors Program, after the tender for the construction of Malatya Dried Apricot Licensed Warehousing Project, of which the final beneficiary is the Malatya Metropolitan Municipality, the site delivery was made to the contractor firm. On September 16, 2019, inspections were carried out together with the authorities of the municipality, consultant firm and contractor firm in an area of approximately 40 thousand square meters where the licensed warehouse will be established. The construction of the project facility will begin at the end of October 2019 and it is expected to take 15 months to be completed. Thanks to the apricot licensed warehouse that will be established under this project, which is developed to increase the competitiveness of the region, the dried apricot will be stored in healthier conditions and presented to the market in longer periods. The project aims to increase the revenues of producers and sellers, to promote quality production and to increase the contribution to the national economy by reducing the loss in storage.
